It uses the System Tray to display an icon that gives you easy access to its features. IMAP Notify can check for mail on your intranet or the Internet, and it can connect to the Internet using Windows Dial-up Networking. It can launch many popular e-mail clients, including Microsoft Outlook and Qualcomm Eudora.

IMAP Notify has many configuration and notification options that allow you to tailor it to your needs. The most advanced (and fun) of these is the ability to use Microsoft Agent animated characters like Genie, Merlin and Peedy to tell you when you have new mail.

Features of IMAP Notify include support for multiple IMAP mail accounts, automated e-mail account setup with the "Account Wizard", the ability to connect to your local area or dial-up network, the ability to view complete e-mail account status, and multiple e-mail notification options.
