A closer look at 1st Impression

It randomly selects from the collection of 32 pictures (including 3D images and fractals) or you can add your own images. For each image you simply select whether to display the image at Startup, Wait, or Shutdown. It accepts images of any size and maintains the image proportions. It supports images in BMP, GIF, JPG, PCX, PNG, PNM, RAS, RGB, TGA, AND TIF format.

1st Impression also lets you set custom shut down and turn off messages (or display no messages at all).
