Overview

What is Old School Playlist Maker?

renames your MP3 files so that their sorted order eliminates the need for a playlist.

In depth

A closer look at Old School Playlist Maker

If your MP3 player (such as the Raite AVPhile 715, Apex, and the in-dash AIWA CDC-MP3) does not support playlists in hardware, you can use this program to play MP3s in any desired order.

Old School Playlist Maker takes a Winamp playlist, and renames all of the files in the playlist so that they are in numerical order. It does this by appending a number to the beginning of each MP3 file in the list. For example, if the first entry is "Dave Matthews Band - Typical Situation.MP3", the file would be renamed "000001Dave Matthews Band - Typical Situation.MP3".

The program can also restore original filenames after you write the files to CD-R or flashdisk.
