AM-Tax starts a tax return like you would--with the 1040, presented in the same sequence as the official form. AM-Tax moves you through the 1040 in a logical manner while you enter information line by line. When you reach a point that requires a supporting form, press a key. AM-Tax displays the form, and picks up all information it can from other forms and schedules. When you return to the parent form, AM-Tax instantly calculates the entire return and updates the tax status that's always on display at the bottom of the screen.

Lines that call for an addition, subtraction, table lookup or a figure from another form are constantly computed and updated by AM-Tax as information is entered or changed. A change to one line quickly and automatically updates other affected forms and schedules.
