Net Blitz is a freeware multiplayer chess program that will let you play chess against friends or others over the Internet or LAN. Also, this is the first game that will let you play the most popular chess variant, called Bughouse (also known as Double Chess). Bughouse enables up to four players to challenge each other in an incredibly addictive online game. If you are a chess amateur and you are looking for some ways to revive your interest in chess, this is definitely the program for you.

Net Blitz provides multiplayer support for two to four players. There is also a two-player hot-seat mode and many more options and variants. The game is available in English and French.
