You can change the playing strength to suit yourself, set up the board to any layout, add comments to specific moves, print board layouts and move listings, choose different styles of time limits, load and save games (in the internationally recognised EPD, FEN and PGN formats), replicate the board to set up variations with one mouse click, use the analyze mode to perform a comprehensive search of a position, and more.
There are dozens of options to customize the appearance and operation of the game, including a choice of 12 piece sets and 17 chess figurine fonts. K-Chess Elite comes complete with the rules of chess, notes on strategy, commented demo and sample games, and information about children and chess. It is also suited for use with screen reader software for the blind or visually impaired.
Both the Windows 95/NT and Windows 3.1 versions are included in this download.
