is a screen saver that explores the most interesting areas of the Mandelbrot set.
Sit back, wait for the screen saver to kick in (it may take a minute or so), and take a tour of the fractal beauty, as your computer explores the depths of the equation.
It starts with the unzoomed set, then picks an interesting area and expands it. The process repeats and the images get more beautiful and chaotic as the zoom goes deeper, until the resolution of a binary number runs out and it zooms out to start again.
It features an option for managing the color palette, and the ability to control the "smoothness" of the generated image, from sharp banded trunks to smooth, pastel hues.
