It is an educational game for school-age children that helps them practice their math skills by presenting them with all kinds of arithmetic problems. The game object is to use a laser to destroy asteroids with mathematical calculations. Only if the operation enclosed in an asteroid is correctly answered will the laser work. And of course you have to answer correctly before the asteroid reaches earth. Is it a game over if four asteroids manage to get through your defenses?.

tux of math command includes two playing modes: arcade, with different levels of difficulty in which the exercises are randomized but with difficulty increasing as you go, and study, which tells you which areas you will be practicing as you play: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.
