combines video editing and compositing, audio editing, and advanced encoding tools into one integrated application.
The program can help you with digital video production, streaming Web video, multimedia creation, and broadcast production.
It features the ability to process an unlimited number of video and audio tracks; real-time effects, transitions, and processes capabilities; automatic cross-fades; over 15 DirectX digital audio effects; drag-and-drop capability; and the ability to cut, paste, move, and cross fade events.
Sonic Foundry Vegas Video supports multiple file formats, including AIF, ASF, AVI, BMP, GIF, JPG, MOV, MP3, MPG, PNG, PSD, RM, TGA, WAV, and WMA; lets you edit audio samples and video event frames; includes video filters and generators; and allows you to add motion and cropping effects, as well as create audio and video envelopes.
The program can also capture and print to video tape using an OHCI-compliant, IEEE-1394 capture card along with compatible decks and cameras.
If you have another card, such as an MJPEG one, you would need to capture your video using your card's utility and outputting it into a Sonic Foundry Vegas Video supported format.
