Word Reports is a useful .NET component designed to help developers create Word documents from their applications, without relying on additional software.Once integrated, this tool is capable of generating new Word reports by searching and replacing certain items in a provided template. It does not depend on Microsoft Word and is created in C#, consisting entirely of managed code.Word Reports relies on .NET Framework, which means that this software needs to be installed on your machine. The downloadable archive includes assemblies compatible with .NET Framework 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 4.5.1, 4.5.2 and 4.6.The Word Reports library allows you to create documents and reports based on an existing Word document and uses search and replace to insert new content. All operations can be performed with in-memory input and output streams.It is possible to generate single or multi-page documents, as well as insert images or tables. The tool offers intelligent defaults when creating tables, and images can be added using multiple formatting options.Word files can be created with a single line of code, and examples are provided in the included documentation to help you get started.Aside from the code examples, the bundled documentation offers detailed explanations for deploying the component, creating documents, working with streams and inserting other elements.A demo application is also included, and it aims to provide a basic example of how the utility can be integrated into other software and which types of actions can be performed once the supported functions have been fully implemented.
