Simple UDP Proxy/Pipe : Advanced UDP proxy/datapipe/packets forwarder and modifier with multiple functions wrapped up in a console application for experienced PC users
Simple UDP Proxy/Pipe is a command-line application designed as an advanced UDP proxy for sending and modifying data packets. It can be connected to multiple clients and used to create ACP files, among other features.
No installation required
There is no setup pack involved, which makes Simple UDP Proxy/Pipe portable. You can drop the executable file in any part of the hard disk and call its process from a Command Prompt dialog. In addition, you can save it to a USB flash drive to directly launch it on any PC with minimum effort and no previous installers. An important aspect worth taking into account is that it does not add new entries to the Windows registry or create extra files on the disk without your permission, thus leaving no traces behind after its removal.
A list with available network commands
As far as commands are concerned, it is possible to view the hex dump of each packet, create a tcpdump file to store all packets in, as well as load a DLL file to process incoming packets (as long as it contains a library with specific functions provided by Simple UDP Proxy/Pipe), among others. Examples with plugins are available to help you get started.
Evaluation and conclusion
We have not come across any stability issues throughout our testing, since the software utility did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It runs on low CPU and RAM, so it shouldn't affect the overall performance of the PC. All in all, Simple UDP Proxy/Pipe gets the job done and it comes loaded with some advanced settings for experienced users.
