A closer look at MRTG
MRTG All the devices that feature support for the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) are capable to be subjected to monitoring through this application. This software solution will also save the output results in an HTML file that will hold various images of the graphical representation of the network traffic that has been recorded. MRTG can be used to graph a wide variety of network-enabled devices as well as other devices including vending machines or weather data. The application is written in the Perl programming language and works on various operation systems, ranging from Windows and Unix to even Netware systems.
