In order for it to run on the target computer, it requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Distributable.Installing this program on the target computer can be done quickly since it comes as a standard Windows Installer Package. However, during the setup, users are prompted to define a URL address for their WNMS servers and type a name for the installed SWEAP instance, in order to identify it easier. The steps mentioned above can be modified later, as well, by editing the configuration file within the installation folder.SWEAP deploys a service that is launched automatically, but it can be executed and terminated manually, as well, by either using the native Services applet component or running a couple of commands in the Command Prompt (“net start SWEAP” and “net stop SWEAP”). Executing the console tasks requires the Command Prompt to be launched with Administrator privileges. The service requires a restart each time adjustments are being made to the main configuration file.
