Windows Sound Changer is an intuitive program which allows you to quickly change the set of sounds that are rendered by Windows, on a particular event. You can easily replace the short beeps specific to the Windows system, with a robotic voice that notifies you of a particular event or with custom sounds.

Quick and easy installation

Windows Sound Changer is simple to use and does not feature an interface, since its functionality does not require user intervention. However, the application allows you to make a few settings during the installation process. You may thus choose to replace the classic Windows sounds with a robotic voice or with custom audio clips.The robot voice notifies you of the event that is currently undergoing and it is automatically applied to all Windows events. For instance, instead of releasing a soft beep when you connect a pair of headphones or any device via USB, the robotic voice plays the “Device Connected” message.

Custom sounds choice

Aside from the robot, Windows Sound Changer allows you to associate any custom audio clip with the system events. You may simply select the desired option from the installation file, by choosing “Custom” instead of “Robot”.The events that the software can notify you about include critical battery alarm, device connection, device disconnected, device failed to connect, exit Windows, Logoff, Logon, low battery alarm, new email, maximize, minimize, print complete, program error, question, restore down, restore up, system notification, UAC or Windows theme change.Next, you need to enable the custom sounds and select the audio file from the local folder. You may even preview the clip, using the integrated audio player. Only .WAV files are supported.

Robot for all functions or custom for a single event type

Windows Sound Changer allows you to replace the entire set of Windows sounds with the robot voice, however, if you wish to set a custom audio clip, you can only do so for a single type of event. You are required to select a single event from the aforementioned list and you may not choose more or all.
