WinExplorer is a small application that might aid you when you have a multitude of processes running and need them listed in a hierarchical view, or modify some of their properties.

Simplistic interface

It can be noticed that after launching the tool, the preview screen automatically loads and displays all your active programs in alphabetical order. On the right side of the preview area you will find the app's control buttons including "Options" and "Refresh".At the bottom of the interface you can find several options that will let you change a selected program's properties.

Modifying process properties

An interesting feature of this tool is hiding a running app so that it appears as closed. This operation can be done by going to the "General" tab and unchecking "Visible".You must keep in mind that the non-visible programs are still running in the background; you can check the "Task Manager" to see the active processes.Another feature is freezing a window in its current position. Just uncheck the "Enable" button and the disabled app will act as a wallpaper, all controls being lost over that window.

Choose the desired option for every app

You can easily change the size and position of any process at any time from the "Size & Position" tab. Simply modify the general values and notice how the opened windows are moved up or down, left or right and even minimized or maximized. You can also place apps outside the screen border and bring them back whenever you need.

Handy and less handy settings

To sum it up, WinExplorer can be used when working with too many programs at once and need them hierarchically listed as well as choose their size and position around your desktop. Even though it sounds simple, this tool also provides some advanced user options and also some that are no longer applicable to modern day operating systems.
