When it comes to measuring your PC’s performance, there are numerous tools that can help you out, aimed at both gamers and regular users. However, many are quite complex, and a simpler utility is often more than enough to get the job done.WPI is a lightweight program that enables you to test the performance of your computer by analyzing various components. It is very simple to use, but it lacks the more advanced features found in more complex applications.

Basic benchmarking tool that offers a very limited array of features

Essentially, there are no preferences that can be customized in WPI, as the only actions you can perform are to start the test or save the results.Once a benchmark has begun, it cannot be canceled, and little feedback is offered to the user, so it is difficult to tell how long the test is going to take.To be fair, however, the benchmark was completed fairly quickly during our tests, as we received the results after approximately 30 seconds on a PC equipped with an Intel Core i5-2400 3.10 GHz CPU and 8 GB of RAM.

Simple tool that tests multiple components, but does not allow you to compare the results

WPI benchmarks your CPU, memory, video card and disk drive, in addition to providing several statistics that combine some of these scores. Unfortunately, you cannot choose which of these tests should be run.Additionally, it is not possible to compare your results with those obtained by other users running similar configurations.

No-nonsense benchmarking utility for users who need a simple tool that gets the job done

On the whole, it is clear that WPI is not designed to replace other applications that have already made a name for themselves in this field, but it can still be useful in the right hands. However, it’s feature set is quite limited, so do not expect anything too spectacular.
