The application is not specifically designed for USB flash drives, but it does not require installation to properly function, so it can be carried around on such a portable drive. Unfortunately, the application is only able to perform a one way operation, without the possibility to at least copy, and not move the entire content of the source directory.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that MergeDir comes with good intentions, but doesn’t manage to bring anything new on the market. It’s role as a folder sync utility is highly questionable due to the lack of more manipulation methods, scheduler, or even option to automatically create the destination folder.
