weebies2.0 / 3.0 Beta

Web browsers are the main method of accessing the Internet. Weebies is one of them, and wants to keep up with its competitors in a race around the information superhighway. It promises to take you to favorite web pages in the blink of an eye.

Straightforward and easy to use

The user interface is pleasant to work with, with no extra buttons or elements that might stand between you and the desired content. A sufficiently large enough view area is provided and you can find a slider that zooms in and out to make things even clearer.Browsing speed is decent, and several shortcut buttons provide quick access to some of the most commonly used social network sites. Additionally, a search field is put at your disposal and you can set the engine to a preferred one from the options menu. Also you are able to set a homepage to greet you every time you run the application.

Good but not flawless

It makes for a practical application overall, but some missing features make it lack the potential of a powerful web browser.Firstly, you are limited to having a single page active at a time, because multiple tabs cannot be created. The only way to do so is by opening another instance of the application. Furthermore, frequently visited pages need to be manually accessed every time, with no possibility of saving them as favorites.Amongst the few options it offers you can find a stopwatch, probably to precisely know how much time you spend on the Internet. Truth be told, it's not the best function a web browser can have.

To end with

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Weebies is merely at the start in the web browser race. You get the hang of it quickly either because of its user friendly interface or the lack of many options to keep you occupied. All in all, Weebies is practical if it's the only one you have.
