In some respects, you can think of Don Mate's interface as being similar one found on web browsers. In fact, you get an integrated web-browser with its own dedicated tab and a section from where you can manage your downloads.Additionally, within the main window, you can choose the destination folder for your downloads, quickly open them or view all your download history via the designated buttons.

The interface is clearly not its strong point

Unfortunately, the utility's interface is not what you would call eye catching or pleasant, for that matter.The interface seems to be designed by a group of people instead of a single individual. The app comes with lots of buttons of various shapes and sizes and the multitude of fonts with different colors and styles does not help the situation either.

Getting passed the way it looks, Don Mate is actually a pretty straightforward utility and working with it is far from a challenge. Thanks to its built-in YouTube browser, you need only to search for the music videos you like, select the formats and then Don Mate makes sure that you receive your soundtracks in no time.Within the Downloads tab, you can get an accurate view of your downloaded files and analyze their formats, titles, states of completion, sizes and web addresses.

On the whole, not a bad app, if you can get passed its looks

All in all, Don Mate is an easy to use application that works just as advertised. It helps you extract the soundtracks from YouTube Videos, therefore enabling you to get music files with your favorite music. But the utility is heavily let down by an interface with a somewhat strange layout and too many types of buttons and fonts used.
