MRU-Blaster is a small Windows application whose purpose is to help you scan your computer for MRU lists and delete data.MRU files store information about the programs or documents that were last accessed on a computer. Unauthorized users can easily view the files that are opened, saved, or looked at, and get information about the filenames.

You are welcomed by a clean feature lineup that embeds two important features in the primary panel: Scan and Settings.The first function enables you to scan the computer for MRU lists and other type of lists that may store similar information, while the Settings panel empowers you to ignore several items from the scanning process.

Scanning capabilities

Tests revealed that MRU-Blaster carries out a task very quickly and without errors. It is quite friendly with system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.At the end of the scanning process, you can view information about the number of MRU lists and MRU items detected on your system, as well as the total number of files.You are allowed to clean the MRU lists with just one click and check out the Results panel which displays all detected items and lets you select the ones that you want to remove or keep.

Configuration settings

By default, MRU-Blaster excludes several items from the scanning operation but you can easily deselect them, such as Internet Explorer typed URLs, Google toolbar history, Microsoft Office MRU items, Windows Find/Search MRUs, network items, and many others. Additionally, you are allowed to install plugins for improving the overall performance of the tool.
