WordPipe is a comprehensive software application that enables you to modify or update the content of multiple Microsoft Word documents at once. It comes in handy when you're dealing with numerous files and want to alter a word or phrasing they have in common, saving you a lot of time in the process.The interface of the application may seem cluttered at a first glance, but WordPipe's options are actually neatly organized. In the first step you can configure the actions to take.So, you can load a search and replace list from an XLS, XLSX, CSV or TAB file, or write the values in the primary panel, namely the search and replace keywords, search type, location and options. It is possible to add as many values as you want.WordPipe supports several search methods, such as normal, using wildcards, or finding all word forms. You can look in the body, headers, footers, inside hyperlink addresses, shapes and text boxes, among others. More options of the tool enable you to highlight replacement entries, match the case, find only whole words, and prompt on replace.When it comes to establishing the files to process, you can include subdirectories, set a start folder and file mask for the scanning method, get filenames from a plain text file, or import a list of files, folders and wildcards from currently open Microsoft Word files.The last tab of WordPipe focuses on many configurable options, as you can backup data, retain file dates, force Word into saving changes, accept revisions, disable addins, process read-only files, and more. The WordPipe project can be saved to file for further modifications, or sent via email if it's final.The program is very low-demanding when it comes to the CPU and RAM, so it doesn't slow down computer performance. It carries out tasks quickly and includes a help file for less experienced users. No error dialogs have been shown throughout our evaluation, and WordPipe did not hang or crash. However, it could use some improvements in the visual department of the GUI.
