The LM Hash function was used in older versions of Windows to store user passwords fewer than 15 characters long. It has since been replaced with other algorithms, as it is quite vulnerable from a security standpoint. If, however, you find yourself needing to generate LM or NTLM hashes, WinHash One of the great things about this application, which many users will likely appreciate, is that you don’t need to install anything before using it, assuming the software requirements are already met.
