allows you to simulate cyclic voltametry experiments. The program lets you perform virtual (simulated) experiments in electrochemistry that can be useful for teachers, students, and researchers.
The input consists of a description of an experiment in terms of species (name, concentration, and diffusion coefficient), Redox reactions (E'0, k0, and alpha), and homogeneous reactions (stoichiometry, Kf, and Kb).
The output consists of a voltamogram plot (real-time XY plotter output), and a pilot signal (real-time E=f(t)).
You can also plot a complete concentration profile at regular potential intervals during the simulation (real-time C = f(x)).
VirtualCV can be useful as a viewer for experimental voltamograms and other simulators as well. Many voltamograms (virtual and experimental) can be displayed simultaneously, enabling easy comparisons between virtual and experimental ones.
In addition, you can read and run Carlo Nervi's ESP input files (MEC) with some limitations, and print and export generated graphs as BMP and WMF files.
