is a system and network monitor designed to let you know when problems arise.
WatchDog pro-actively scans for intermittent or consistent failures of IP-based computer systems, IP services, e-mail servers, modem/remote access systems, file servers and NT services.
As a system begins to fail, WatchDog transitions it from a "Normal" to a "Warning" state. If it recovers, it reverts to "Normal" status, but if it continues to fail, WatchDog flags that system as "Dead."
Based on monitoring criteria, WatchDog alerts you of system state changes via MAPI or SMTP e-mail, numeric or alphanumeric pages, Web page updates, SNMP "traps," WAV format sound files, log or on-screen messages, or program/batch/LNK file executions.
