A closer look at WebChatter

The program utilizes server push technology to achieve real-time chatting. It includes an unlimited number of public and private rooms, along with all the common IRC (Internet Relay Chat) commands, such as OP, KICK, BAN, INVITE, and IGNORE.

WebChatter also features buddy list options, file transferring capabilities, and JavaScript support.

It enables users to register or login as guests; automatically kicks out users if they are idle for five minutes (default); updates the real-time user list when users enter and exit a room; and automatically deletes a room when all users have left it.

In addition, the program plays audible alerts when users enter and leave a room, and does not require to be installed as a server, acting as its own server.
