||MyStars! (32-bit) v2.7 Description:|
is a fun and educational program that shows the position of stars, the Sun, the planets, comets and the Messier objects as they would be seen from any position on Earth. View from any location around the world, by specifying latitude/longitude, by clicking on the map of the world, or by selecting from the database of cities. You can view on any date from 2000 BC to 4000 AD, and you can select any time.
It displays the complete Yale Bright Star Catalog of over 9000 brightest stars up to magnitude 6.5. Stars can be labeled by name, Bayer/Flamsteed IDs, or YBS catalog numbers. All deep sky objects included in the Messier List are displayed, and can be labelled by name, M number or NGC number. Various options allow you to view the names of the sun, planets, moons, and comets, as well as several celestial coordinate grids (altitude, azimuth, declination, right ascension, ecliptic, celestial longitude).
An animation option generates a series of views separated by fixed intervals of time. Other features include full screen display mode, zoom in/out, a user-definable magnitude limit, view below horizon feature, object tracking, and more.
