Overview

What is WinGroove?

lets you play MIDI files and convert them to WAV format.

In depth

A closer look at WinGroove

For any of the 16 tracks, you can choose from 128 instrumental sounds (which conform to the General MIDI specification). There are 10 varieties of drum sets to choose from, each with several types of percussion sounds.

WinGroove plays MIDI files with a 44kHz sample playback rate, a 16-bit dynamic range, stereo sound, and up to 32 voice polyphony. The polyphony is automatically adjusted depending on your PC's performance capabilities. Both WAV and MIDI files can be played at the same time, and you can save MIDI files in WAV format. There is an option to run Wingroove using another MIDI application's output as Wingroove's input. The other MIDI application could be a game, a MIDI sequencer, etc.
