Hollywood FX v4.01 Description:
is library of over 100 customizable 3D transitions and effects for video, film, publishing, Internet, and multimedia. Just drag and drop the Hollywood FX icon into the timeline as you would with any other transition. The FX Selection Dialog box appears, letting you select from over 100 incredible FX. An immediate preview is provided so you can see exactly what you'll get.
The program provides detailed 3D "Object" control, a "Path Editor" and a "Morph" Envelope" editor.
The "Options" tab lets you quickly change transitions between fly-on and fly-off, get rid of jaggies with the antialiasing control, control the light source direction in one degree increments, turn on shadows for incredible realism, add motion blur to create realistic blurred motion, and control the transition period for hold-at-start and hold-at-end effects.
The "Object" control tab gives you specific control over each object in the effect. You can select additional video to map on other source objects in multi-window effects, control cropping of video sources, brighten any object using luminosity, add shine for glossy bright spots, control object transparency over time, quickly adjust the direction any object flies, rotate an object while it follows a path, and add any number of trails and control spacing.
The "Path Editor" lets you create new effects by changing the path of any object in any effect. With this feature you can create picture-in-picture effects, even with perspective. With the spline-based path editor, you can create paths with acceleration and deceleration (tension, continuity, and bias control over each path control point). The interactive path editor is simple to use, just drag and rotate the wire frame objects exactly the way you want them.
The "Morph Envelope" lets you control a value over time. For example, an object can fade to invisible halfway through a transition, then become opaque again by the end of the transition. Hollywood FX's Morph Envelope editor lets you easily click and drag control points to quickly create envelopes. You can even control how an object morphs from one shape to another.
Hollywood FX is OpenGL-based and supports multiple processors for fast rendering.
