Dead Meets Lead is a top-down action game that wants to mask the fact that it takes its inspiration from such sources, given the fact that it blames the infestation on spirits and curses. Granted, the action does take place in the 18th century and the main character is a very religious person, which means that demon possession and curses come naturally for him. As it happens, the story talks about a ship full of Englishmen that gets caught by a bad storm out on the sea, with the captain being the only survivor. After he drifts ashore, he finds out that the island he ended up on is actually infected by the plague. In order to clean the curse and find its source, he must head into the heart of the island and find the cause for the darkness that has taken over the humans.
