Installer/GD does not require the use of scripts. Features of Installer/GD include: visual project editing; storage of all project data in one file; a wizard-type localizable installation interface with many languages; unlimited user-defined components; 16- and 32-bit Registry and profile (INI) modification capability; support for icon addition and removal; the ability to select an installation type of typical, minimum, complete, and custom; component-wise installation, deinstallation, and reinstallation; the ability to perform user-defined actions at any time during installation; automatic font handling; file checking by version and date; the ability to completely rollback canceled installations; and shared file handling.

Installer/GD also provides: OLE/ActiveX component registration and unregistration; a single distribution set for all 16- and 32-bit systems; a compact run-time size of about 300K; support for common diskette sizes and flat CD-ROM installations; variables, resolved at installation time, to use in profile and Registry settings; a smart project checker; an optional logo bitmap; and context-sensitive help.
