inputs data from any RS232 serial port directly into any application running under Windows.
It eliminates the need for manual data entry of instrument data into Windows applications.
INCAP can be used to collect data from scales and balances, gauges, laboratory instruments, calipers, sensors, densitometers, GPS receivers, barcode scanners, telephone systems, or any other RS232 instrument or device.
INCAP reads data from the serial port and transfers it into the application. Data can be changed with simple settings in direct mode or with control scripts in program mode. You can change your data by filtering out unwanted data, appending aditional keys, adding date and time stamps, and more.
Transfers can be done in two ways. Data can be inserted into the keyboard buffer, the same way keyboard wedges do. Transfers can also be done with messages. This method allows for transfers into the background applications or into the specific edit control.
Key features of INCAP include: the ability to automatically transmit commands to your serial device; the ability to filter out unwanted data; support for all COM ports; selectable communication parameters; an analyze feature for quick debugging of serial data; and support for multifield records .
