BugTrapper runs in parallel to your application, showing you an online trace of the functions calls from your code at the same time as they are executed. This trace tree includes all the parameters and return values, anc can be saved in a log file for later offline debugging and analysis using Bug Trapper.

BugTrapper can be used for both tracking down hard to reproduce bugs and for understanding what code is executed in a particular scenario. No special build is needed, and BugTrapper can even attach to and trace a running process.

BugTrapper works with both release-built optimized executables and debug versions. Support for DLL's is provided, including run-time loading, and components such as OCX, ISAPI DLL, and CORBA.

BugTrapper provides for quick logging of online trace information, with minimal impact on performance.The data trace produced by BugTrapper shows the value of all relevant variables, including arguments, return values, local and global variables.

BugTrapper also includes an agent program that can be used as a remote sensor at a customer's site. The BugTrapper Agent records the trace tree of your software's function calls at your customer site in a log file. A log file that contains a trace tree of a crash or malfunction can then be sent back for offline debugging and analysis using BugTrapper.
