displays and logs Caller ID information, plays customized greetings, saves voice messages, and handles your modem dial-up connections.
The program stays out of the way in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar until it receives a call. A window then opens and displays Caller ID information. AON logs the call, plays the WAV file associated with that phone number, and records the message as a WAV file. You can configure the answering machine with a maximum recording time. AON also has text-to-speech capabilities.
AON can record your phone conversations or play them through your sound card (like a speaker phone). You can also specify blacklisted phone numbers, and the program will ignore or hang up on them.
There is a Modem Wizard feature which can find your modem's COM-port and command set. The program also feature voice data compression, and a detailed phone book for you to keep track of your callers' personal information (such as e-mail address and Web page).
AON can also handle outgoing modem calls. It includes an advanced phone book that can play different sounds for different numbers. AON enhances Windows Dial-Up Networking to let you manage all of your ISP telephone numbers (up to several thousands) and auto-retry the next number after the first one fails
