jStrip allows you to remove JPEG comments, Adobe Photoshop thumbnails, Mac headers, and all other extraneous data. It does not re-compress the image, so there is no quality loss, and enables you to add your own comments.

The program can automatically process an entire folder tree, back up modified files, retain the original time stamp of any modified file, and generate log files in HTML or text format.

You can also remove JFIF markers and generate new ones, browse and process UNC paths, and clear read-only bits, as well as utilize the command-line version for automated processing.
