is a challenging and visually stunning real-time combat game in which you must put an end to the vast conflict that threatens universal existence.
What began as a conflict over the transfer of consciousness from human brain matrices into machines, escalated into a war which has decimated a million worlds. Two determined opponents, the Core and the Arm, have all but exhausted the resources of a galaxy in their struggle for domination. Both sides are now crippled beyond repair, as the remnants of their armies continue to battle on ravaged planets, their hatred fueled by over 4,000 years of total war. This is a fight to the death. For each side the only acceptable outcome is the complete elimination of the other.
Total Annihilation features: incredible 3D environments (including realistic terrain with true 3D elevation); fully articulated, run-time generated 3D units and buildings; true 3D terrain that units must climb over, into and around; large 3D generated maps; landscape diversity (including grasslands, forests, snowscapes, deserts, open water, and more); a full complement of land, air and sea units; highly advanced weaponry (including starburst missiles, plasma shells, lightning pulses, nanobeams and paralyzers); over 150 units and 25 missions per side in single player campaign; full multi-player support as well as single player skirmish mode; and more.
