Overview
What is UniToolbox?
ActiveX controls for Unicode development in Visual Basic.
In depth
A closer look at UniToolbox
UniToolbox is a set of Unicode-aware ActiveX controls and utilities for creating Unicode-enabled software with Visual Basic. As supplied, the Visual Basic 6 IDE provides a set of ANSI-compliant edit controls which are accessed using the 'Toolbox' but there is currently no equivalent toolbox which provides a set of Unicode-compliant edit controls with which a developer may create Unicode-enabled software.Until now, Visual Basic has frustrated the efforts of developers trying to provide Unciode support in their software with its inability to provide user interface support for Unicode, even when running on a Unicode-aware operating system.By replacing Visual Basic's intrinsic Label, TextBox, ComboBox and ListBox controls with UniToolbox, existing forms can be Unicode-enabled in minutes, with no extra design re-work or code modifications.UniToolbox integrates seamlessly into your software, bridging the gap between Visual Basic's internal Unicode support and the operating system environment in which it is running.
