is an easy-to-use gradebook program designed for teachers by teachers.
There are no limits on the number of students, activities, or classes you can create. Letter grading is flexible; you can use traditional letter grades, define your own grading system, or use a points grading system.
With 1st Class GradeBook you can: add or delete activity categories at any time; add/delete/change weighting, total points, point value, class average, or categories at any time; add comments based on a student, activity, or even a specific grade; drop the lowest score; and more.
You can automatically establish bell curves by simply typing in the average you would like your class to have. The program easily handles missed activities; simply enter "E" (excused) or "A" (absent) and the program correctly updates the class and student averages.
You can create seating charts and seat students alphabetically or randomly in rows. You can also seat students in any shape (circles, squares, etc.).
You can create a variety of reports and graphs. Report card writing is easy with "canned comments", and you can add your own comments (unlimited size). Reports show grades and comments side by side in a "story book" fashion. Comments made over the term read like a story next to the marks. Parents can read reports and easily understand how their child has progressed, showing both the ups and downs along the way.
