The program uses classical dynamics (molecular dynamics) to simulate the collision of low and medium energy (less than ten keV) atomic projectiles with crystal lattices comprised of up to several thousand particles.
Atomic interactions are modelled on the basis of composite screened Coulombic and Morse potentials.
Possible applications of Simulation Kit include sputtering, ion scattering, and ion implantation.
