When it comes to image editing applications, the internet comes with lots of interesting and useful software solutions. One of them is Agisoft StereoScan. It's a nice and easy-to-use 3D modelling tool packed with all sort of neat tools that you can use in order to model your pictures and make them stand out.
Lightweight interface with lots of tools
Agisoft StereoScan doesn't take long to install and it sports a rather simplistic interface. However, it has all tools at hand and it leaves plenty of space for the actual picture on the screen. The first thing that you need to do when launching the application is to load images that you would like to edit. You can only load files in the .ssz or .mpo formats and open them inside the application.
Create 3D models out of your images
Use your scroll button to enlarge pictures inside the application and adjust components, by picking the level and adjusting it on the screen. There's the option to adjust the view, enable textured, shaded, solid or wireframe. You can have the application show ruler, trackball and information on the image. Details on files are available, like width, height, the make and model of the camera, shutter and more. You can adjust the quality of your model and change preferences.
More features and tools
There's the option to adjust model generations and correct distortions, aside from the fact that you can set the limit for the decimate mesh and filer components. Background color can be changed, you can import or export mesh, texture and other elements. Enable 3D view, swap mesh, select elements from the image and reset view with the touch of an icon. It takes about one minute to model images into 3D pictures and save them on your device. All in all, Agisoft StereoScan is a very nice software solution for modelling 3D images from JPS images or JPEG Multi-Picture Format (MPO) images, like those captured by FujiFilm Real 3D W1 stereo camera.
