is a cool 3D application launcher which lets you drop program, Internet, and document links onto a choice of 3D shapes that can be rotated and spun on your desktop.
Many different 3D shapes are available, all of which can be easily customized. You can drag and drop links, programs, files, folders, shortcuts, and images onto the 3D shape. Icon3D runs as a taskbar icon in your System Tray.
Icon3D lets you change a shape's texture and background to almost any size or color image. You can modify the button type as well (highlight or raised), and create your own shapes using a simple text-based language.
Shapes can also be merged into your desktop using the program's "Capture Background" feature.
Other features include: sound support for Icon3D events such as launching, rotating or setting a button; the ability to change the physics of the scene by changing the perspective, zoom or axis scale completely transforming the look of a shape; system-wide hotkeys for showing or hiding the Icon3D window; and options for changing the rotate speed and rotate axes of the shape (including a Z rotate feature).
The program includes more than 50 3D shapes, each capable of holding from 32 to 100 icons.
