Bassline is an improvement over the Winpopup application that comes with Windows. It lets you browse the network, showing all users who can receive messages. You can send a message to several users at the same time. You can also chat with users.

Bassline has programmable keys and it lets you reply to or forward received messages, as well as save messages in a log file. You can also send files and clickable URLs, send messages using the command line, and send e-mail using SMTP.

Messages, files, and text chatting can optionally be encryptted.
