Shred-X is able to overwrite all slack space on your hard or removable drives. This may be necessary to remove information from spurious clusters remaining from previous Recycle Bin deletions. Shred-X can overwrite your Swap File; and overwrites file cluster tails, to achieve complete deletion.
You can also run Shred-X in schedule mode, where it automatically invokes Scandisk to ensure that all lost sectors are accounted for, and overwritten during a disk clean, then runs Defrag to remove evidence of the deleted file names from FATs.
