is a Java-based Web design tool which enables non-technical, creative professionals to create and present rich-media Internet productions.
CrossArtist allows you to quickly build complex interactive Internet applications, including e-commerce and database driven solutions, for distribution across a variety of Java-supporting devices.
You can select your own level of complexity, using either the intuitive WYSIWYG interface and built-in wizards, the CrossArtist scripting language, or even implement your own Java-based objects.
A CrossArtist production consists of one or more scenes. You add objects to scenes; modify the appearance of those objects by changing their properties; attach resources to certain objects that further modify their appearance; create actions that play, pause, and stop a sound resource; and attach those actions to any event.
If you wish to change the way an object appears, sounds, or behaves during the course of a production (like making a list appear when a viewer presses a button, or making a cartoon character animate across the screen), you attach a behavior to an object using the CrossArtist Interactivity Manager.
