Overview

What is FrontLine?

allows you to password-protect your Web site without relying on special access scripts.

In depth

A closer look at FrontLine

The program provides a Java/C++ hybrid password protection system that can be used to protect any Web site without relying on special access to the ISP, CGI-BIN, or any other programming or scripting schemes.

FrontLine lets you create and maintain an access control list that contains all the user names, passwords, and paths of every user in your Web site.

Once the access control list is created, it is encrypted and written to an ASCII text file that is placed on your Web site in the same directory as the FrontLine Java Applet.

The program's Java Applet provides user name and password prompts, and can be embedded in any existing Web page, or in the sample HTML file which you can easily modify.
