There are three main components to install in order to offer searching capabilities to your end-users. The server based portion of the software is the actual search engine. The administrator tool is a Java applet used to create and maintain the index or database of information that you choose to make available for searching. This applet sends messages back to the search service to perform all of the necessary administration tasks. The third component is the search applet. Visitors send simple or advanced search queries back to the search service through Java search applets embedded within the HTML pages of your site.
