A closer look at Resin
As a Web server component, it creates active Web pages from HTML and JavaScript, following Sun's JSP specifications (Sun's JSP is identical to Microsoft's ASP, but essentially works with all operating systems and Web servers including Apache).
Resin supports XML, hides Java from those programmers who do not need it, and allows easy Java access from JavaScript to those who want to use its libraries and power. Java components appear as JavaScript objects, a portable alternative to ActiveX.
It also includes a personal Web server to make installation and exploration simple.
