Overview

What is FileOrder?

is a client and server downloading application which allows you to schedule file transfers with resuming capability.

In depth

A closer look at FileOrder

FileOrder consists of three parts: the server, the client, and the administrator. The server is a Java application which accepts URLs from users and downloads their contents. It can reside on any computer: Windows, Unix, or other.

The client lets you enter URLs, monitor their downloading, and manage them. You load load it via a Java-enabled browser.

The administrator also runs via a Java-enabled browser, and allows you to manage users and adjust the program's server settings.

FileOrder can be useful to any LAN connected to the Internet, including ISPs.

In addition, the program can retry broken downloads and resume where it stopped (if the remote server supports this option).
