The program works both while you're surfing and when you're using other online applications such as e-mail. This low-impact application works with most browsers and e-mail programs, is easy to use, and provides excellent control over online advertisements and pop-up windows.

You can choose from three levels of filtering strength for ad banners and pop-ups and stop those irritating animated GIFs from playing more than once. Banners can be completely eliminated, replaced by empty boxes, or replaced by hyperlink text so that you can still click on any that are of interest.

AdsOff! also prevents advertisers from dumping their cookies on your computer.

A detailed "Event Log" lets you view recently blocked and unblocked items, and it's a simple matter to transfer items between categories. The program can be configured via an icon in your system tray. The program features well-written online documentation.
