is a precise audio extraction tool for CD-ROM drives.
Other audio grabbers correct audio "jitter," but CD-ROM drives reading scratched CDs can still produce distortions. Exact Audio Copy reads audio CDs almost perfectly. If there are any errors that EAC cannot correct, it reports the time positions in which (possible) distortion occurred.
The program supports SCSI and ATAPI CD-ROM drives, multi-sessions (CD-Extra), and CD-Text. It works with external MP3, VQF, RA and AAC encoders to enable automatic compression after extraction.
EAC has a WAV editor that lets you delete, trim, normalize, pad, interpolate ranges, fade selections in or out, remove glitches and pops, and reduce noise. It also includes CD player functionality, an ID3 Tag editor, CDDB support, lyric database support, ability to create CDRWin CUE sheets, functions to help you record from LP or radio, and much more.
