turns compact disc tracks into WAV files and RealAudio files, and records cassette tapes.
Unlike CD rippers, DiscMaid records sound in real-time. For WAV file recordings, you can set the sampling rate and frequency.
DiscMaid features a database which keeps track of the CD track listings. To aid in recording to cassette, DiscMaid allows you to move tracks around to ensure that your audio won't run past the available playing time on each side of your tape. To create cassettes, simply connect a cassette deck to the "audio out" jack on your sound card.
For encoding RealAudio files to RealAudio format, you must first install RealNetworks' RealEncoder.
